2016 Seniors // Warrenton, VA

Hey there,  So you are going to officially be a SENIOR starting this fall.  How exciting!!!  I remember back when I was in high school and at how the first year was dragging by and before I knew it I was walking across the stage graduating.
Then came reality of what to do next. Where to go… and what college I should apply for (I was a horrible procrastinator).  I ended up joining Germanna and had a fanatic couple of years with them.
Being a Senior you get to drive to school, you may even get the luxury of leaving school early!  It’s basically kind of like being an adult living your own world.  BUT you are still in school and haven’t officially enter into the 9-5 job just yet….
Who wants to even begin to think of THAT right now.  You finally get to call yourself a SENIOR.  Sounds good doesn’t it?   So what better way to truly represent yourself and your accomplishments then to have entire portrait session dedicated to YOU!
I have created a limited time offer for 2016 seniors (and any 2015) who want to feel like king or queen for the day.

We will start of by having your hair professional done then make up which may take up to an hour.  We will then go to your first location (yes you get TWO locations!!) spend an hour their then go to your second location and spend another hour shooting.   We will spend this day capturing you being the awesome Senior you are!    I highly suggest you bring items that best represent you, so if you have been accepted into a college, bring the letter, or bring a shirt or maybe dress up as the mascot? ha! Maybe not so dramatic but you get my point..  Play sports?  Bring that as well!   Drive an awesome car or maybe have a car you love that has been in the family… Bring it with you!   You will get up to 3 outfits changes total.  This is huge as I know some of you seniors are some fashionista.  Change it up and make each collection of photos different. This day is after all dedicated to you. So why not enjoy the fun photo shoot and the chance to get better pictures. We all know cell phone pictures just DON’T Cut it!

Ramilyn’s Photography wants to give you the TRUE senior experience!  Also I do offer 30 minute consultation to help you decide on outfit choices, colors and any other themes and coronation of your entire session before booking and during book.  This is great for those who want some help on outfit choices.  And Mom’s reading this.  This will help narrow down your stress level too.  We all know how kids can be and how picky they are!  We will work together to get everything in order so really all they have to do is show up with their mini suitcase (I mean ladies, we all know you have shoes that match each shirt) So just bring it)!   I also want the moms and dads to be a part of this awesome day as well.  I ask that parents allow me to take full control and let your awesome kid well… be AWESOME while I shoot.  We will  have you stand in the distance as we shoot. That way we can capture the genuine smiles from me being goofy.  😉

Another great part about this AWESOME COLLECTION.  Is the special items that are INCLUDED!!!   You will also get 24 wallets of your favorite image.  10 costume Senior Announcements (You can order more!)  As well as  Facebook timeline, and 2 watermark images for social media.  This special is $500 value alone!
You will also get a $150 print credit towards your purchase of any large prints.   You will also be able to purchase additional products during your viewing.  BUT it does get better!!

If you refer one or more of your friends you will get $100 credit towards a purcahse of a designer album! OR $100 print credit towards more prints.   Your choice!

Commercial Photography | Endless Creations Flowers & Gifts //Culpeper, VA

As most of you know by now Keith and I are engaged. YAY!  Anyways, I went to Endless Creations to talk about flower ideas. Their service they give for brides & grooms is pretty fanatic.  After speaking about my wedding  I was approached by Steve the owner of Endless Creations Flowers and Gifts in Culpeper who wanted some floral pictures taken for their website and other business materials.  I felt so honored to be able to work with such a great and loyal business.  If you follow either of our business pages you may have seen some of the recent work that was posted.  I am beyond excited to continue to work with Steve and his business.  They are such a fun bunch and I truly recommend them for any brides or any other floral needs.  They will get the job done perfectly.

I really enjoyed shooting more in the commercial field of photography. It’s always great to connect with other local small business who are dedicated to providing a great service and products to their customers.  I think its really important when owning a commercial type of business to have professional photos of your store/location, the items you sell and who you and your team are!   This allows for many customers to connect with you and see the products you sell first hand.  Let’s face it, we are in the digital age and everyone is using their cell phone, ipads, and computers to shop online or search for reviews.
I have seen some businesses use cell phone photos and though it works great sometimes it can really make or break your business.  I think when it comes to showcasing your products photographs can truly make a product standout.

I enjoy helping small and local businesses in the area achieve their dreams as I am pursing mine.  If you are interested in commercial photography for your business please contact me with details of what you are looking for and I will be glad to send you a quote.

Fling Family | Generation In Amissville, VA

On Christmas Eve my family and I were preparing for our Christmas party.  I received a phone call that day from Mr. Fling who was interested in having his entire family photograph.  I couldn’t past up this sweet opportunity as it had been years since they were able to all be together under one roof.  I couldn’t say no or even began to have them search for someone else.  Besides what other photographer would answer their phone on Christmas eve?   So of course I said Yes!     I was so pleased to meet this sweet and wonderful family.  They were all such a delight to work with given the last minute session and shooting at their home.   One of the pictures that truly touched my heart during this session was the picture that was shared with Drew and D (mother and son black and white photo). Drew is on Chemo and wasn’t too happy about being pictures after we did the huge group shot.  So I offer to take their family photos again in the Spring.  You will get to see those soon enough!

Meet sweet baby Londyn!  Just one day shy of 3 weeks we were super lucky to get a few sleepy shots!  I photographer Londyn big sister (one of my first newborns)!  So you can say I was pretty excited to have her come back into the studio with her fresh little one.   Seeing my work then and now really makes me smile HUGE because it shows my talent and artist eye has grown.  That is a big thing when you are an artist.  I love capturing the special little details in life and newborns really allow you to capture some of those.

A mother’s heart to heart with life //Culpeper Photographer

My sweet little girl is growing so fast.  It just seems like yesterday we were preparing for your arrival.  Now, you are 4 months.  Weighting in at 15 lbs and 25 inches long.  You are my little chunky one but I love every little chunk roll.   You love people and smile at everyone even creepy people that you should learn to say stranger danger.  However I know you are going to be a caring and compassionate person.  Your eyes capture everyone’s heart and that smile just melts it!  We are blessed, that is for sure.   No one will ever know the struggles and heartache I had to go through to have you here.  but every tear and pain was worth it.  I set here and look through all the photographs I have of you. I am sadden to see I didn’t capture as many at home candid memories as I show have.  I feel like I always have to capture “perfect” images at home and forget it’s not about the perfect pictures its about those memories you want to persevere.  I really get upset thinking about how much time I wasted trying to catch up on sleep and  not snap photos.  But the amount I have are still dear to my heart.  I think that really is what makes memories special.  You can’t have every single shot but you can have some that are perfect. <3

I think being a mother has changed me completely.  My life revolves around them,  My needs come in last but I am sure many moms can relate to that.  But I wouldn’t change it, I wouldn’t want it any other way.  As my children are my life and they keep me going when days I feel like I want to just give up.  You know how you feel so tired the life is just drain out of you?  But your kids energy level is like 10 red bulls?  Yeah, us moms have ALL been there.  But you look at those sweet dirty faces and see those toothless and half missing teeth and just smile because who couldn’t love a kid telling you unfunny knock knock jokes and talking about her shoes and little tutu.   It’s those little candid moments in life that we all live for.  We all want to have in our life.   The years get shorter when you have kids.  Or for me at lease.  I feel like each coming year we are rushing to get to some holiday, or birthday or maybe your wedding date.  I can’t bare to think about getting married because that would mean my sweet babies will be a year older!  I don’t even want to begin to think of Abby walking or Savannah being six or Austin being 17.  NO!  Just not something I even want to think about.  God then I will be a year older.. yeah so what I mean is who wants to rush the days away?  I mean I wish it was 5pm every day my lovely hubby leaves for work.  I hate when he is gone from my side BUT I know he has to work.   These past 4 months have just flown by and that to me is so sad.  I watch my little ones learn new things, reach new mile stones and I am over here with a box of tissues crying my eyes out like I seen “A walk to remember”  (By the way if you never seen that movie you will NEED a box of tissues)  This life, this mother hood, this is what the world is all about.  And luckily I get to capture it daily just need to learn to put down the iphones and ipads for awhile and pick up the big guns (my camera).  If you are a mom and do that same thing like me.  Stop.  PUT it down and get that camera or you can hire me…  (Big smile, huge eyes kind of look)  to do the work for you!  Either way don’t let those little moments in life get away.  They are grown and gone  before you know it
