The best part about working for the newspaper is I was able to work with the new businesses that came to town. I remember what an honor it was to photograph the new Pioneer Bank in Ruckersville, VA. My picture was featured in a few advertisement before they open and even afterwards. I will never forget that feeling of accomplishment when I made the business owners happy with theses images.

Rose Hill | Stevensburg, VA

This beautiful location has been preserved to keep it to its original state. It is truly a remarkable place to see and host a gorgeous vintage inspired wedding or a small event. The views the mountains from the back of the house really set the mood for any type of event. Rose Hill is an early 19^th century federalist style frame house which sits with its original out buildings on approximately 210 acres of rolling Virginia Piedmont farmland. The farm is currently used for game preserve but is soon going to be opening its doors for future brides and grooms to host their wedding. Main Street Wedding & Events Show Room |Culpeper, VA \ Commercial

I always enjoy capturing beautiful places, this location has some amazing set ups from many vendors and venues in and around the Culpeper area. I am pretty exited to be a part of this new business and be able to have captured some events that have taken place here at Main Street in the last few months. Jessica Brose is the owner and wedding planner of Main Street Wedding & Events. She has dedicated her life to planning weddings for brides and grooms to be. She is a very caring and sweet person who really wants to make your day perfect as perfect can be! I promise you will not regret hiring her to make sure your wedding is planned out just right, it’s like having a best friend by your side the entire time. You cannot beat that!

Jessica also works with tons of venues and vendors so brides can view all the things they need to put together a wedding. This really helps keep the wedding planning stress down. Who doesn’t love on stop shop for a wedding?

Here are some pictures of the show room back during the spring time. I just love the details in all these pictures plus yummy cakes and cupcakes by the very talented Gateau. You will also see some very neat invitations by ChikPea Graphics that are so AWESOME!

There are a TON of vendors that offer some very talented work that you can really put your own personal touches on your wedding. If you are looking for a florist who really makes your ideas come to life you need to check out Steve and Chris over at Endless Creations Flowers. I have had the plasure of working with them a few times and they are amazing about building you a package that works best for you and your budget and still get amazing flowers.

Meet the Face of Main Street Wedding and Events located in heart of downtown Culpeper, VA

S & M | Wedding Preview |Rixey Manor, Rixeyville, VA

I don’t normally do weddings but will happy to work with brides & grooms who are having a smaller wedding. I met Mary through a Isadora & Ben who own Rixey Manor. I was so happy to be able to capture Mary & Steve’s special day. Word cannot even express how lucky I was to be able to be a part of this opportunity not only because I have been out of it for a while but because it was the FIRST wedding at the Rixey Manor with the new owners. I am sharing just a few of the images from that day. I will post more images & details within the next few weeks for everyone to see!

Rixey Manor

Welcome to the beautiful Rixey Manor located in the heart of Culpeper County Virgina. This gorgeous location is owned by Ben and Isadora. These two are such a fun and wonderful pair to work with. I have done a few shoots at the Rixey Manor and they are always so accommodating to me and my clients. They recently build a ball room on the back of the Rixey Manor to accommodated larger weddings (300 people). I have yet to see this new space finish in person but I have seen pictures and the ball room is simply stunning! They even have roof top terrace which is on top of the ballroom that you can even host a night time dinner party or walk down the aisle. You can see the mountains from this beautiful terrace and it really is something you have to see in person to really see how beautiful it is. I have seen no pictures that do this view justice!

I shot their first ever wedding at the Rixey Manor back in November 2014 with Mary and Steve. This wedding was simply elegant and timeless and I was so honored to capture this day for them. Rixey Manor truly offers an amazing setting for brides who wish to have a large or even smaller wedding. They are also a bed and breakfast and have four rooms that each have their own soak in tub. One of the rooms which is my favorite room actually has the tub sitting right in the room (pictures below).
Each room still gives you that history but with a hint of comfort designed by Isadora.

Brides if you are looking for a perfect house that has that southern charm to give your wedding that feel of the south you have to take a tour of Rixey Manor! This beautiful home sits back off the road and is surrounding by fields and tree lines. I have taken some wonderful detail shots of Rixey Manor that I am sharing on this blog. I will be coming back to this amazing place in June for another Boudoir session with a Rixey Manor bride!
